Tim Thomas Tim Thomas is a former National Hockey League goaltender. Despite being selected 217th overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Thomas didn't establish himself as a full-time NHL player until later in his career. He spent several seasons playing in the minor leagues and in Europe before finally making his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins in the 2002-2003 season. Thomas became known for his unorthodox goaltending style and incredible athleticism. He quickly gained recognition as one of the top goaltenders in the NHL, earning two Vezina Trophies as the league's best goaltender in 2009 and 2011. His performance during the 2010-2011 season was particularly memorable, as he backstopped the Bruins to their first Stanley Cup championship in 39 years.
